How a violation becomes a record
You define the work areas where helmet policy applies. The module watches them continuously; when an employee appears without a hardhat, it sends a live notification and saves the frame as evidence. Each violation is an alarm event in TRASSIR VMS, reviewable by zone and time, so HSE sees where compliance slips.
The saved frames accumulate into an evidence base: useful for coaching conversations, audits, insurance and incident investigations alike.
What a deployment needs
- Camera placement: cameras covering the work area with a clear view of workers' heads, close enough for a helmet to be distinguishable in frame.
- Lighting: consistent light in the monitored zone; for night shifts, the lighting plan is part of the design.
- Compute: like all TRASSIR neural modules, it needs proper server compute behind it; we size the server together with the rest of your system.

Questions we hear
Straight answers before you commit
Do we need new cameras?
Usually not. The detector runs on cameras you already have, provided the view is clear and workers appear large enough in frame. We verify each zone during scoping.
Does it work on night shifts?
It works wherever the camera delivers a usable image. Lit work areas are fine, and we plan illumination for zones that operate in the dark.
Does it name the worker?
No. It detects a person without a helmet, notifies and saves the frame. Identifying the individual and deciding the response stays with your supervisors.
What do we actually gain?
TRASSIR positions the module around fewer industrial injuries, better employee discipline, lower costs from paid sick leave and reduced reputational risk. The mechanism is simple: violations are caught in the moment, with evidence.
