What happens between the scene and the alarm

Scene & lens

Fixed 2.8 mm wides, a motorized 2.7 to 13.5 mm zoom, a PTZ reaching 120 mm and a 360 degree fisheye. The lens is chosen for the scene, never the other way round.

Sensor & light

Sensitivity down to 0.001 lux on a 1/1.8 inch sensor, with dual illumination: IR for covert night vision, warm white LED when color and deterrence matter.

Image processing

Real WDR up to 140 dB holds doorways and glass fronts readable against backlight, while 3D DNR strips night noise before it wastes bitrate.

Compression

H.265+ down to H.264 keeps streams between 8 and 16 Mbps per camera: the number that ultimately drives your storage and bandwidth bill.

Decision

Onboard analytics: human and face detection, line crossing and counting, raise structured events that TRASSIR VMS turns into alarms and reports.

Common questions

Before you choose a camera line

Will TRASSIR cameras work with the recorder we already have?

They are engineered and validated for TRASSIR VMS, which is where they perform best. The reverse also holds: the VMS supports 99% of cameras via native, RTSP and ONVIF, so a mixed estate can migrate gradually.

Do the cameras need separate power cabling?

No. These lines run on PoE (802.3af) or 12V DC, so one network cable carries data and power.

Can we get color video at night, not just IR gray?

Yes. The DualLight models carry both IR and warm white LED illumination, each up to 40 m, and choose per scene: covert IR when watching, full color when deterrence matters.

What happens to footage if the network drops?

Models in the range carry local MicroSD storage, up to 512 GB, so the camera keeps recording at the edge until the link returns.

How do we know the units are genuine, and who honors the warranty?

Chasing Sun is an authorized TRASSIR distributor supplying from Nairobi stock. Every unit carries the manufacturer warranty, and issues that need the vendor are escalated directly.
