Sizing the archive

Four things decide how many days you keep

Camera count

Every channel adds a stream written around the clock. The AnyIP models cap at 4, 9 and 16 channels, the first fork in any design.

Resolution & bitrate

In the current camera range, a 2 MP stream runs up to 8 Mbps and an 8 MP stream up to 16 Mbps. Doubling detail can double the disk it consumes.

Retention days

Retention multiplies everything above. Thirty days costs roughly twice the storage of fifteen at the same settings, so agree the target before the hardware.

Recording mode

TRASSIR VMS records continuously or on motion triggered events. Motion triggered archives keep the moments that matter while stretching the same disks further.

Each MiniNVR carries two HDD bays; we size the disks from your four numbers and show the math in the quotation so you can audit it line by line.

Common questions

Before you choose a recorder

Can a MiniNVR record cameras we already own?

Yes. The AnyIP name is literal: they record IP cameras from any supported manufacturer, and TRASSIR supports 99% of cameras via native, RTSP and ONVIF.

Which model fits our site?

Count your cameras and leave headroom: 4, 9 and 16 channel models cover small and midsize sites. Beyond that, or once analytics enter, the NeuroStation line takes over.

Do operators need to learn new software?

No. Each appliance runs TRASSIR OS, so the interface is the same VMS used across the estate, including the iOS and Android apps for viewing on the move.

What about licensing and warranty?

Units come from Chasing Sun's Nairobi stock under authorized distribution, licensed correctly at commissioning, with manufacturer warranty and direct vendor escalation behind them.

How fast can we get a sized quotation?

Send your camera count, resolution and retention target and a design with auditable storage math usually comes back within 48 hours.
